How is a toxic and harmful gas detector calibrated?

Dear forum members: There are approximately over 300 toxic, harmful, and flammable gas detectors in the company whose calibration has expired and needs to be carried out. Must it only be calibrated by local metrology institutes? Some are subject to mandatory calibration, while others are not. The cost is 1,080 yuan per unit, which amounts to hundreds of thousands again. Can it be tested by a social organization? It depends on the location; in some places only the calibration report issued by a testing institute is accepted, while in others a calibration report is sufficient. Generally, the gases that are subject to calibration by metrology institutes are those for which there are corresponding calibration procedures, such as combustible gases, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, etc. As for some toxic gases like hydrogen fluoride, metrology institutes do not offer calibration services for them.
