Is it necessary to remove the isolation valve (fire isolation valve, UV valve) before flushing the pipeline with water?
I think it should be removed to prevent debris in the pipes from damaging the valve core. Generally, during initial startup purging and flushing operations, flow meters, orifice plates, and control valves need to be removed to prevent damage.
Those with a larger diameter are also acceptable; generally, we don’t disassemble those with a DN of 200 or higher, while for those with a diameter of less than 200, we use bypass connections.
