The MGGH system uses demineralized water as the heat transfer fluid; must the pipes for demineralized water be made of stainless steel? Are the accompanying valves and pumps also made of stainless steel? Can carbon steel be used?

The fluid handled by salt water pumps is corrosive, whereas ordinary pumps deal with clean water or liquids similar to it, so no corrosion resistance is required. The materials used in salt water pumps must therefore be resistant to corrosion, such as 304 steel or plastic.
The medium used is demineralized water, which refers to the purified water obtained by employing various water treatment processes to remove impurities in water such as suspended solids, colloids, and inorganic cations and anions. It can be used for boiler make-up water (boiler soft water).
