【Haichuan’s Best Practices】Jilin Fuel Ethanol Company Achieves Improved Quality and Efficiency through Automation of its DDGS Packaging System

On January 29th, within the feed production unit of Jilin Fuel Ethanol Company’s ethanol production facility, the DDGS automatic packaging machine was operating at full speed; feeding and sealing were carried out seamlessly. Conveyors delivered the packaged bags accurately to the stacking machine line, where robotic arms systematically stacked them automatically. The entire process was carried out without human intervention, marking the successful completion of the full automation upgrade of the company’s 5 DDGS packaging lines and representing another step forward in intelligent manufacturing. Previously, the DDGS packaging system relied heavily on manual labor, involved high physical strain, and posed risks such as simultaneous operations by humans and machinery, thus becoming a bottleneck that hindered capacity expansion and safety management. To overcome these challenges, the company set itself the goals of \"intelligent transformation, efficient production, and inherent safety.\" Building on its existing semi-automated systems, it launched a full-process automation upgrade last year and added new palletizing machine production lines; as a result, the entire process in this unit is now operated without human intervention. The data shows that the upgraded automatic packaging system has an average production capacity of 512 bags per hour; the error in product weight is kept within 0.1 kg, while the rate of bags falling off is only 0.027%. Its palletizing capacity has also increased significantly, staying at 791 bags per hour, which fully meets the production requirements.
