According to Sinochem New Network, recently a signing ceremony for the cooperation agreement between the Management Committee of Anhui (Huaibei) New Coal Chemical Synthesis Materials Base and Huaibei University of Technology to establish a College of New Materials and Chemical Engineering was held in Huaibei. Under the agreement, both parties will leverage the academic strengths and talent resources of the universities, in combination with the industrial resources and practical platforms available at the base, to create a collaborative platform that integrates talent training, scientific research and development, technology transfer, and social services. This platform will help supply specialized talents to the enterprises in the park, thereby accelerating the process of industrial upgrading. Li Xiang, director of the Management Committee of the Anhui (Huaibei) New Coal Chemical Synthesis Materials Base, said that the base is a key chemical industry park in Anhui Province, bringing together a number of high-quality chemical enterprises. It is currently in a critical period of industrial upgrading and technological innovation, resulting in an increasing demand for highly skilled applied professionals as well as scientific and technical support. Next, the base management committee will play an active role as a bridge to facilitate the implementation of the terms of the agreement. By leveraging the platform of the industry college, it will further promote the organic integration of the education chain, talent chain with the industry chain and innovation chain. Yang Bing, the president of Huaibei University of Technology, hopes that this joint establishment of an industrial college will serve as an opportunity to carry out in-depth cooperation in areas such as joint talent development, co-creation of courses, sharing of platforms, joint research on projects, transformation of achievements, and faculty development, all in line with the development needs of the chemical industry.
