As stated in the title, the methanol recovery tower of the etherification unit (with a side draw, 10 kilograms of steam, and a reboiler as the heat source) is designed with a bottom pressure of 0.3 bar (between 1/2 layer of trays) and an upper pressure of 0.29 bar. However, during normal operation, the bottom pressure of the tower is 0.28 bar while the upper pressure remains at 0.29 bar. If the bottom pressure is higher than the upper pressure, the load on the tower increases significantly, and the steam supply cannot keep up; solve this issue

If the pressure gauge conduit at the top of the tower is too long, accumulation of liquid during winter operation can cause errors in the readings shown by the gauge. First, check the gauge; if it is found to be functioning properly, it’s possible that the trays in the distillation section have fallen off, but since production is running normally, this possibility can be ruled out for now.
It’s probably your gauge that’s faulty; the pressure at the top of my recovery tower is kept below 0.1 MPA
For the issue with the pressure gauge, you can try using a different on-site pressure gauge
