Is there any equipment that can directly distribute the vapor at the top of the tower?

The company’s distillation column is composed of several distillation columns combined together. The vapor (mixture) at the top of one of the towers is condensed in a total condenser; a portion of it is recycled back based on a certain reflux ratio, while another portion is taken to the second tower for further distillation. I am considering whether it is possible to install a gas distributor to directly distribute the vapor phase at the top of one tower; a certain proportion of this vapor phase should be condensed and returned to that same tower, while the remaining portion should enter the second tower in vapor form. This should help save some energy consumption. But I don’t know what such a device is called; I need something more precise that can be easily controlled automatically. Thank you!
I haven’t heard of any special distributors; it’s actually quite simple to implement the above process – one just needs to control the heat exchange amount in the heat exchanger
That’s true; the gas phase can be allowed to enter the second tower through the outlet of the catcher. However, if this is achieved by reducing the flow rate of the cooling water, there is a delay, and the accuracy of operation is insufficient
