What is the function of a delayed coking stabilizer? Why is it called a stabilizer tower?
The task of the delayed coking unit is to process the crude gasoline and rich gas coming from the overhead vapor separator of the coking fractionator, with the aim of separating out dry gas (C2 and lower) and recovering gasoline and liquefied gas.
