It will provide a large number of detailed and reliable examples of fluid dynamics design for packed towers, structured packing towers, and plate towers. There are many training courses these days, but even after completing the training, it remains difficult to actually start working in design. Take a look at these practical examples of projects; perhaps it will be a practical step for you to learn how to do design work. These example sets are all real engineering cases from users of VIVITA’s fluid mechanics software. WPTR is an original Simplified Chinese software designed specifically for the Chinese community, available in both online and stand-alone versions. WPTR Computer Software Copyright Registration Number: 2013SR007732 WPTR User Manual: If you’re lucky, there might be ready-made examples that meet your needs. ========================================================== Case 1: This is a natural gas TEG dehydration tower. Tower type: structured packing. Key point: The WPTR calculation proves particularly useful for this tower – the liquid-gas specific value is very high, exceeding the ranges specified in manuals and many software programs! WPTR is able to calculate HETP accurately, whereas many imported software programs require the input of HETP. Note: The operating pressure is 6.0 MPa(A); do not apply these values to other operating conditions
Case 2: This is a flue gas wet desulfurization tower. Tower type: bulk packing.
Case 3: This is an engineering example. Tower type: plate tower, trapezoidal guided floating valve.
Case 4: This is a 50,000-ton food-grade carbon dioxide main distillation tower – an engineering example. Tower type: Regular packing
Case 6: Plate tower – SIHCL3 washing and dehydration tower. Tower type: plate tower, sieve plate tower

Case 8: Plate tower – Sinopec Engineering. Tower type: Plate tower, ADV differential floating valve tower
Case 9: Tower type: Regular packing. Calculation software: VIVITA Fluid Mechanics WPTR. WPTR is the only software that provides three algorithms for international flow patterns: 1. Tang-Cheng, namely the maximum load factor method, improved by the Chinese researcher Cheng (VIVITA Software); 2. Billet, namely the Billet algorithm; 3. Kister-Gill-Cheng, namely the Kister-Gill algorithm, improved by the Chinese researcher Cheng (VIVITA Software). This example shows the three algorithms applied to one tower for comparison purposes
Case 10: Tower type: Plate tower, fixed-valve tray; Calculation software: VIVITA Fluid Mechanics WPTR
