At the same time, the comprehensive treatment project for the urea granulation tower, which had just been completed, was put into use – what can be seen now is only water vapor, as all the dust has been absorbed and removed. After the installation is put into operation, approximately 216 tons of urea can be recovered each year, essentially eliminating dust-containing and vented gas phases, thereby improving environmental quality. To address the emissions from the granulation tower, Weihua Group collaborated with a design institute in 2018 to develop a specialized emission treatment system. This technology won the \"First Prize for Technical Progress\" from the China Nitrogen Fertilizer Industry Association in 2019. The project involves an investment of around 6 million yuan; it enables comprehensive treatment and recovery of dust generated in the existing granulation tower, without increasing the height of the tower, thus avoiding any impact on the safe operation of the urea granulation tower or on the quality of the product. After treatment, it can meet the stricter domestic emission standards, namely a dust content of ≤20mg/Nm3 and an ammonia content of ≤20mg/Nm3. The dust recovery device is installed in the louver layer of the urea granulation tower; it does not require any additional ventilation systems, making inspection and maintenance simple and convenient, while significantly reducing trailing effects. Horizontal water spraying is used, with a vertical packing water curtain for absorption. Natural ventilation is used, with no additional power-driven fans required; water spray is employed to absorb the gas phase at the top of the granulation tower, the absorbed liquid is recovered, and the gas phase after absorption is released to meet **standard requirements. After the project is put into operation, the active ingredients are absorbed and converted into urea product, while the water vapor released helps to humidify the atmosphere, achieving a win-win situation in terms of social and economic benefits.
