For the pressure difference in a distillation tower, what is an appropriate value for this difference in plate towers or packed towers? And what should it not exceed?
The pressure drop in both plate towers and packed towers varies depending on the specific operating conditions. Generally, the pressure drop per actual plate in a plate tower is around 500 PA (the exact value is determined through hydraulic calculations), while in a packed tower it depends on the specifications of the packing used
