For the 32 sets of isothermal conversion systems designed by our company, a deammoniation tower is generally sufficient to be installed at the outlet of the conversion process

I think it is best to add it during low-temperature methanol washing, because using washing water to remove ammonia; if the temperature of the feed gas is high, it will increase the water content in the feed gas, which may lead to an increased load on the distillation tower
Change the inlet of the unchanged tower, and feed it from the top of the high-pressure boiler water tower. However, it causes significant corrosion to the tower; it is best to use higher-grade materials
Change the outlet; pressurizing it with demineralized water is sufficient. The solution after absorption can be sent for flue gas desulfurization or gasification.
It can be added at the transformation outlet or the low methane inlet; it’s actually the same location. Since it is a renovation project, it depends on the conditions on site. Wash after cooling with boiler feed water. It is sufficient to control the ammonia content in the transformed gas to less than 2 ppm.
I would like to ask the original poster: what is the design specification for the ammonia content at the outlet of your ammonia scrubber? Were any traces of ammonia detected in the sampling and analysis of the shifted gas at the outlet of the ammonia scrubber tower?

Our ammonia washing tower is located at the end of the conversion unit, before the low-temperature methanol washing unit. The designed ammonia content in the shifted gas after washing is less than 1 ppm. The washing water enters the ammonia stripping tower for stripping, and the stripping gas is sent to the boiler for mixed combustion, with sulfur removal and recovery being part of the design. After stripping, the condensate is sent to degasification.
