How do you make the comparison? Do you compare the price of one ton of carbon steel with that of 1 ton of PP? The density of carbon steel is more than 7 times that of PP; therefore, the tower made of carbon steel needs to be at least 4 mm thick, while one made of PP requires 10 mm thickness. The volume difference is 2.5 times. Weighted carbon steel is three times that of PP, and its price is about one-fourth of PP’s; in terms of production costs, steel is likely to be more expensive than PP. There are no towers made of carbon steel, so there is no empirical data for comparison
