Can the annual inspection of tower equipment be limited to an external inspection only? The downtime for maintenance is too short to allow for a comprehensive inspection
No, whether the internal components of the tower are damaged is crucial for its proper functioning; internal corrosion and erosion cannot be detected from the outside. I once saw a tower whose multiple layers of trays had been blown away.
How to conduct an annual inspection? Are any testing instruments needed? ? Or consult a professional agency?

If the tower is a pressure vessel, regulations require an annual inspection every 3 years, during which it must be opened for inspection. Forced inspection by the Special Inspection Agency.
The factory doesn’t pay any attention to this; they don’t provide any resource support and expect people to communicate with the inspection agency on their own.
Quality inspections are now more strict, and the special inspection agency will not relax its standards; it’s not like before when a simple verbal request was enough to get an extension.
So the pressure is high – I’m the only one in charge of over 500 pressure vessels throughout the plant, as well as forklifts, cranes, elevators, pipelines, and valves
