The temperature of the tray in the stabilizer tower remains very high. The top reflux is fully open, and the temperature at the bottom of the tower is much lower than the value specified in the process parameters. However, the temperature at the trays above layer 40 is still above the required levels, which results in excessive levels of C5 in the liquefied gas
How is the cooler performing? Is the reflux temperature too high? Increase the pressure slightly in the liquefied gas tank and lower the temperature. Analyze the components of denatured gasoline.
The reflux temperature is normal; the pressure rises slightly every two or three hours, and it remains within normal ranges
Is the feed temperature too high? Or try using a different feed port, switching to the lower feed port
Check the top condenser; switch to bottom feeding. Could excessive reflux cause flooding in the upper section of the tower, leading to a vicious cycle? We had a situation similar to this once as well: the temperature at the bottom of the tower dropped significantly, yet the C5 level remained above the acceptable limit. Adjusting the feed port or increasing the reflux rate didn’t help. Eventually, the plant was shut down for maintenance – it turned out that the trays were dirty and had blocked the vapor rising holes, and the liquid collection trays were also clogged. Once everything was cleaned, the problem was resolved
How long has it been in operation? Has any tray been overturned?
Change the feed inlet; the feed is not at the correct temperature. Adjust the feed temperature – could it be that the heat exchanger is not functioning properly?
Has the tower top cooler been put into use? Is the reflux temperature too high?
Change the feed position and see the gas flow rate
Check the instrument readings and stabilize the operation
