The \"water hammer\" sound occurring in the discharge line of the ammonia purification tower is caused by an excessively high ammonia concentration in the discharge stream. When this ammonia enters the raw water tank, it dissolves rapidly in the water, resulting in a sudden decrease in volume and thus the generation of sound. This is different from the sound caused by steam water hammer. It is recommended to add deionized water or fresh water to the discharge line, mixing some water into the discharge stream to dilute it. Ensuring that only ammonia water or ammonium hydrosulfide solution enters the raw water tank can help alleviate this problem. Attention should also be paid to the amount of water added; too much water will cause noise in the pipes, while just a small amount is sufficient
