The diameter of the feed inlet is related to the feed rate. It is not possible to tell from the diagram whether the feed pipe uses a notch-type or a small-hole feeding mechanism, nor is it clear how close it is to the tower wall.
The feed to the tower is a single pipeline, whose inlet is located very close to the tower wall; there are no other forms of feeding
