Is the principle of steam stripping the same as that of hydrogen stripping? Can a stripping tower be called a fractional distillation tower?
Steam stripping works on the same principle as hydrogen stripping, but it is not called a fractionation tower
The principle is the same; some systems include a gas stripping process because there is no superheated steam at the beginning of operation~~~ Did that separate line allow for both steam and hydrogen at that time?
Both can increase the vapor stripping limit at the bottom of the tower and reduce the oil vapor partial pressure. However, steam stripping also serves to heat the bottom of the tower; the downside is that it increases the condensation load at the top of the tower. The stripping tower has only a stripping section and a feed section, without a distillation section; therefore, it is not a fractional distillation tower
These two are not the same. Steam stripping involves reducing the vapor pressure of the oil components, allowing the components with lower freezing points to boil at lower temperatures; this enables the light components in the oil to be removed. Hydrogen stripping, on the other hand, involves removing the oil from the catalyst at a certain temperature, and this is achieved through the use of large amounts of circulating hydrogen
I’d like to ask the experts: what percentage of hydrogen should be used for hydrogen stripping, and should it be hot hydrogen or cold hydrogen?
