Have you encountered any various faults with trays? For example, have you faced situations where the tray gets overturned?
Ten years ago, work resumed one month after the major overhaul of the stabilizer tower; after work started, it was not possible to establish a reflux flow at the top of the tower, and there was liquefied gas present at the bottom. During a shutdown for inspection, it was found that the trays were completely clogged with rust – a bagful of rust was removed from each layer – and once cleaning was completed, operations could proceed normally.
The reasons include tray flooding, blockage, and salt deposition. Symptoms: flooding, failure to establish reflux, tower flooding, and unqualified samples. Increased pressure drop in the plugging and salt deposition towers; vacuum formation in the mid-stage or top circulation pumps; the sample does not meet the specifications

The catalytic fractionation tower experienced salt deposition issues that affected its operation, but this problem was resolved by simply using water for washing!
Intermittent power outages cause the return pump to stop, leading to flooding of the tower and displacement of the tray sheets; there are also obstructions such as clamps at the pump located at the bottom of the tower. . .
When the quality of the raw materials is poor, the distillation tower is prone to salt formation
