Mid-section reflux of the hydrocracking fractionation tower

This is a small hydrocracking unit I am currently working with. What I would like to ask is whether, by increasing or decreasing the reflux, it might have the opposite effect in certain special situations
The mid-section reflux increases, the amount of product in the upper section decreases, while the amount of product in the lower section increases. The mid-section reflux decreases, the reflux flow at the tower top increases, the amount of product in the upper section rises, while the amount of product in the lower section decreases.
