Have any of the teachers turned off the stripping steam for the diesel stripper? There is hydrorefining later; can catalytic diesel be fed directly to the subsequent hydroprocessing stage without stripping?
It’s better to have more gasoline, right? After all, gasoline is more valuable than diesel
1. Catalytic diesel does not undergo stripping, and its flash point is certainly above the specified limit. For units that cannot feed diesel directly into the diesel hydrogenation unit, storing it in the intermediate raw material tanks in the tank farm definitely does not comply with storage specifications. 2. Even if it is possible to feed the material directly into the diesel hydrotreating unit, due to quality control requirements for diesel products, the light components in the mixture still need to be distilled off; such operations increase the energy consumption of the diesel hydrotreating unit.

Our company’s catalytic unit uses straight-feed light diesel for hydrogenation, with the steam to the stripping tower being stopped.
Direct supply to downstream users; flash point is not controlled.
Hot feeding, I think it should be possible to do that, but it’s probably not feasible here.
Diesel is fed at a heated state via hydrogenation; there is no control over the flash point of the catalyzed diesel, and the temperature at the exit of the unit is above 50°C
Damn! Companies with money! How much is just a little bit of steam! How much is the difference in price between gasoline and diesel!
Catalytic diesel is fed into the diesel hydrogenation process without being stripped first; as a result, olefins are saturated, which affects the octane rating of gasoline. The crude gasoline produced by diesel hydrogenation has a low octane rating, and economic considerations need to be taken into account. Additionally, factors such as the flash point and boiling range of diesel also play a role.
