I remember that the absorption of ammonia by water is an endothermic process; so how can the temperature still rise?
Ammonia releases heat when it dissolves in water; for every 1% increase in concentration, the temperature rises by 6°C. If this heat is not removed promptly, the temperature will continue to rise!
