Regarding the opening of the tower

The design manual states that the stripping steam openings of the tower are generally located below the trays in the stripping section, along with distribution pipes. I would like to ask how to distinguish whether the tower opening mentioned in the manual is above or below the tray. I think being above the tray refers to it in relation to the lower trays, while being below the tray refers to it in relation to the upper trays. So how exactly should this be distinguished?
First, determine which part of the tower design is the stripping section and which part is the distillation section
There is no issue with the way it’s described. These days, double stripping is generally used; there must be a steam distribution pipe beneath the bottom tray of the tower. As for the other stream of stripping steam, it needs to be determined through calculations and based on the design of the installation, but it will certainly also be located beneath some tray in the tower!
I think I understand now; I overlooked the fact that the tower is divided into sections, such as the distillation section and the stripping section, etc
