Design issues of packed towers in Aspen

In Aspen simulations, the packed tower converts the height of the packing into the number of trays in a plate tower. I don’t know much about this concept; is there any relevant material available for learning it?
It is usually based on experience, or you can directly ask the filler manufacturer at the time of purchase; recommended values are also provided in the manual

Each specification and model of packing has a corresponding theoretical number of plates; these values are converted into one another, with a certain margin added as well.
