The distillate from the top of the vacuum distillation tower is sometimes present and sometimes absent; please advise
The checks mainly involve determining whether the feed components are stable, measuring whether the pressure at the top of the tower is stable, checking whether the temperature at the top of the tower is stable, verifying whether the temperature at the bottom of the tower is stable, and inspecting whether there is any blockage in the tower’s packing layer. That’s about it
To determine whether the material tends to polymerize, check the pressure difference and temperature in the tower; it’s possible that the tray is blocked. . .
Check the feeding situation? Is there rising steam in the reboiler? Is the tray or packing clogged? Is the tower top condenser operating properly? Is the production pipeline blocked? Is the pressure in the storage tank for the extracted material too high in the vacuum system? There are too many things to check; I can only go through them one by one!
1. Analyze the composition of the sample taken from the bottom circulation pump of the tower; 2. Check whether the vacuum system is functioning properly; 3. Ensure that any accumulated vacuum liquid is being discharged properly; 4. Verify that the differential pressure in the tower is within normal ranges; 5. Check that the temperatures of each tower stage are normal; 6. Make sure that the flash boiling temperature at the feed stage is kept within a specified range; 7. Confirm that the packing inside the tower has not been burned due to unstable temperature conditions; 8. Check whether there is proper venting at the high point of the cooling water in the top condenser, and ensure that the circulation volume is sufficient. Point 8 might be overlooked when driving normally
