Acid Friends, does anyone know the moisture content of the flue gas before the drying tower? (For acid production units equipped with wet purification.) Our company currently does not have any equipment for testing this parameter. If anyone has this data, please feel free to share it so that we can use it as a reference.
I have a few copper smelting facilities here, with levels of 0.1–0.13; I’m not sure if that can help you
Wet purification: the moisture content in the flue gas from the drying tower is nearly at the saturation level for that temperature
Mineral acids, in the wet process, are theoretically equal to the saturated water vapor pressure corresponding to the temperature of the flue gas entering the tower (without considering electrostatic mist removal), expressed as a volume percentage; for example, 5.2% at 30°C and 6.8% at 35°C.
This needs to be calculated, taking into account the exit temperature of the intercooler, the volume of furnace gas, the amount of oxygen added, and the air temperature
Reduce the temperature of the flue gas entering the drying tower and check the pipes for any leaks
There is no need to measure this; it can be calculated based on pressure and temperature, taking saturation into account.
After drying, it is 0.1 g/NM3; the value should be higher earlier on, and it can be calculated based on the amount of acid passed through
