In low-temperature methanol washing, there is pressurized nitrogen at the top of the thermal regeneration tower. What is the function of this pressurized nitrogen? When to use it?
It’s just nitrogen, used when the operating pressure is unstable, or to displace acidic gases and things like that.
The system is shut down for an extended period, and the drop in temperature of the thermal regeneration tower may create a negative pressure, which is used for pressurization.
Two functions: 1. Before the system is started up (including initial startup and restart after maintenance), it is used for pressurizing and purging the system; 2. It is used to maintain the pressure in the thermal regeneration tower at around 0.25 MPa
The valve on the nitrogen pipeline is called a vacuum break valve
