For accident chlorine absorption units, salt deposition occurs at the inlet of the chlorine gas pipeline – how to deal with it?
Fill it with water regularly, and pay attention to the alkali concentration in the accident tower; if the concentration is too high, scaling will occur severely
When the blind flange is opened, rinse it directly with water; regardless of the concentration of the alkali used, salts will form sooner or later. It is sufficient to establish a regular cleaning schedule to carry out such cleaning.
The wet chlorine inlet does not form salt deposits, while the dry chlorine inlet does. Solution: 1. As mentioned by others earlier, rinse regularly ; 2. No flushing is required, but please purge the dry chlorine pipeline used for accident handling with nitrogen over an extended period (no high pressure is needed)
What was done with this water?
Use short sections of DN25 PVC pipe to block one end and make several holes in it, which are then inserted at the location where scaling occurs in the inlet main pipe; a DN25 valve is installed on the outside to allow clean water to be pumped in for desalination. The amount of water used should be adjusted based on an analysis of the concentration of the solution being treated.
The water has washed the salt into the accident absorption tower! It has no impact.
