Is there any device that can convert part of the fresh water used for watering the flue gas desulfurization and denitration scrubbers into sulfur purification water? I would like to know about the performance of the installation and the operation status of the equipment.
This post was last edited by ylb913 on 2018-9-3 20:40. Is it the purified water obtained from wastewater stripping? I’ve heard of this idea for the first time; I personally have no experience with flue gas desulfurization either, so I’m waiting for an answer.
I’ve tried it; the desulfurization tower experienced severe foaming, so it didn’t work.
It has never been used; we have used the wastewater from the sewage treatment plant, and foaming occurs severely when the COD level is high

We tried replacing 10 tons of sulfur-treated water with 30 tons of water added to the flue gas desulfurization process per hour; the levels of COD, salts, and TSS all remained within acceptable limits. However, the treated water had a strong odor, and when the wind blew in the direction of the office building, the managers said the smell was unpleasant, so we stopped using it. We have been using demineralized water on a trial basis, preparing to use it for softening water.
What percentage do 10 tons represent of the total incoming water volume?
It did not occur, but the external wastewater must be sent to a sewage treatment plant; there is no control on COD levels.
This cost is high! There is usually an issue with cost-performance!
