If there is a distillation tower that requires extraction from the middle side line, consider the location of the extraction outlet.: (1) The extraction outlet is opened in the middle of the liquid pipe, as shown in Figure 1 below. Personally, I prefer Figure 2, because the liquid produced in Figure 1 is easily mixed with gas phase, which may have an impact on the production flow rate.

You can calculate which tray to put on it, no problem. As for the specific setting location, I feel it is more appropriate to place it in the tray liquid collecting tank.
And you also need to consider whether the tower pressure requires a side extraction pump, and whether the other end of the feed is allowed to carry liquid with air. If a side extraction pump is needed, a liquid collecting tank must be set up, and the buffer amount must be calculated.
