When driving, is there a specific order in which the throttle valves for liquid air, liquid nitrogen, and contaminated liquid nitrogen in the main tower are turned on?
I’ve never used internal compression, so I don’t know. We use external compression; Liquid Air is turned on first, and once enough liquid has accumulated and it’s time to start the purification process, the liquid nitrogen valve is opened to feed it into the tower
There is no requirement for a specific order; the connection valves between the upper and lower towers are mainly of four types: oxygen-enriched liquid air, liquid air, contaminated liquid nitrogen, and liquid nitrogen.
The valves for the accumulation of liquid in the cold tower are kept fully open; once a liquid level appears in the main cooler, the valves for waste nitrogen and liquid nitrogen can be slowly closed down to carry out purification.
It is recommended that you attach a flowchart for analysis and description; in air separation, once one understands the basic principles, the differences lie only in the speed of operation and the energy consumption involved
Adding liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen to the upper tower indeed can reduce the startup time, with very good results; I’ve used this method many times already
