As shown in the diagram, the heating steam at the bottom of the acidic water stripping tower enters the condensate tank after passing through a heat exchanger. There is a DN25 pipe on the condensate tank that returns to the main steam line. What is the operating state of this pipe during normal operation? What is the function of this line? Thank you
This valve should be in the closed position
It should be in the on state; the vapor phase in the condensate tank is connected to the steam inlet line, via a balance line.
If it is turned on, steam will take a shortcut, and the resistance for flow into the tank is less than that for flow into the reboiler!

There is a height difference between the condensate outlet of the reboiler and the inlet of the condensate tank, allowing the condensate from the reboiler to flow into the condensate tank. If it is in the closed state, there is no outlet for the vapor phase in the condensate tank.
If enabled, what value is appropriate? Fully open?
Does the vapor phase need to return to the main steam pipe?
When the pressure in the condensate tank is low, the flow direction is definitely toward the top of the tank; this is done mainly to prevent the condensate temperature from dropping too low and to avoid a low vapor pressure in the tank, which would prevent the condensate from being discharged
Do you mean that the gas phase from the condensate tank goes to the main steam side to prevent pressure buildup?
Is this line used to supply pressure to the condensate tank?

But considering that the pressure will decrease as one moves in the direction of the medium, the pressure at the top of the condensate tank should be lower than the steam pressure at the inlet of the reboiler.
