Our company has newly installed a 180,000-ton synthetic ammonia production line, using Anchun synthesis towers and process packages from Hunan. Previously, I was exposed to Casali of Switzerland and the Tower and Craft program at Kellogg in the United States. I took a look at Anchun Company’s manufacturing process; it differs slightly from those used abroad. Process description: The purification process involves low-pressure washing and methanation. The syngas that comes out of this stage does not pass through a molecular sieve; instead, it is compressed by a compressor, and then the gas from the second stage of the compressor is combined with the gas from the heat exchanger before entering the first and second ammonia coolers. Before starting up the system, a 1-inch pipeline is added to the pipe leading from the ammonia synthesis tower to the heat exchanger, through which a certain amount of liquid ammonia is injected. This liquid ammonia then enters the first and second ammonia coolers, where it mixes with the gas from the second stage of the compressor. After combination, the gas is separated by a diammonia separator; the gas separated by the monammonia separator goes to the compressor circulation section (note: the cold exchanger is integrated with the monammonia separator). First: This type of circuit eliminates the need for a molecular sieve, which increases the cooling load of the circuit and thereby raises the ammonia refrigeration load; both separators are of the high-pressure type. Before driving, a certain amount of liquid ammonia must be added to absorb the moisture in the syngas; this moisture is then separated using a separator to prevent it from entering the tower. The ammonia net value is approximately 13%, and the catalyst used is A301 from Hangzhou Basic Technology Co., Ltd. I wonder if any of you who are familiar with this product know about the effectiveness of this catalyst? Have you used the synthesis tower process developed by Hunan Anchun Company? What are the precautions for this process? Feel free to share your thoughts? Discuss and share together
What do you need the molecular sieve for? There is no need for liquid nitrogen washing or ammonia-alcohol co-production; this is standard. I didn’t look closely at the synthesis process. May I ask what process is used for gasification? Which one is used for methanol washing?
There is no liquid nitrogen washing, so a molecular sieve is needed. And molecular sieve is also needed before introducing liquid nitrogen for washing.
