The difference between an adsorption cylinder and an adsorption tower

Previously, we used devices that contained packing material, and we called them adsorption towers. But after switching to a smaller container manufacturer, they said that they couldn’t be called adsorption towers; it seems like they don’t have the necessary qualifications or something like that Can it only be called an adsorption cylinder? Does anyone know what’s going on?
Pressure vessels or something like that. Special equipment and things like that, I guess
They have the same function; the larger ones are called adsorption towers, while the smaller ones are called adsorption cylinders.
