On the afternoon of June 20, with the help of a 4,000-ton giant crawler crane and a 500-ton crawler crane, the absorption tower for Sinochem Refining’s coal-to-hydrogen plant was successfully lifted into place. It is understood that this absorption tower has a diameter of 4.8 meters and a height of around 90 meters; its total lifting weight is over 800 tons, making it the tallest tower in the coal-to-hydrogen facility. The operating temperature of this tower ranges from minus 20 degrees Celsius to minus 55 degrees Celsius, and it plays an important role in product quality, thermodynamic balance, and the long-term operation of the facility. To date, Sinochem Refining and Chemicals has completed the lifting of 166 large-scale equipment units, with a total weight of 41,000 tons.
