Coal chemical industry, gasification in aerospace furnaces, pressurized coal gasification technology. The operating time of the methanol/water separation tower in the purified low-temperature methanol wash process is very short; blockages can occur as early as within a week (as shown in the figure). A filter has now been added in front of the tower, which increases the operating time slightly. Has anyone else encountered such a situation? And how was it handled? How is the processing effect? Is the transformation a full transformation or a partial transformation? Are the solid impurities mainly FeS or something else?
It is necessary to address the source of the control issues; could the pre-system process for methanol washing and the process control parameters for methanol washing, such as water content, be provided?

1. If coal ash is involved, more washing treatment should be carried out before it enters the low-temperature methanol wash unit; 2. I don’t think it has to be gasified coal ash; it’s possible to determine whether drying leads to spontaneous combustion. If spontaneous combustion occurs, it is due to the carbonyl compounds in the low-temperature methanol wash; when the carbonylation reaction in the low-temperature methanol wash is intense.

It is recommended to spend some money to have it analyzed for its components, or to conduct an elemental analysis. If you touch it with your hand, does it feel like oil? If that’s the case, it might be a polycarbon organic compound. In this case, you need to check the operating status of your transformation. After passing through the space furnace, almost no organic matter remains; it’s only possible that organic matter is regenerated through transformation. Similar to the Fischer-Tropsch reaction.
