Upstream column fluctuations in the fractionation tower

During normal operation of the air separation distillation column, the pressure drop across the column fluctuates, and so does the amount of contaminated nitrogen, without any prior warning. We keep shutting off the liquid nitrogen throttle valve v2, but we still can’t get control of it! Are there any other methods?
In batches? Tray clogged? Is the gas-liquid phase distribution unreasonable?
Apart from the fluctuations that occur when the molecular sieve is switched, all other fluctuations occur without any warning, indicating an imbalance in the upper column. But keeping the liquid nitrogen throttle valve closed didn’t yield very good results either!
