This is a filtration tower filled with adsorbents; the liquid is water, which flows from top to bottom, and there are electric valves at both the top and bottom. I would like to ask how to control the flow rate while ensuring that the filter tower is filled with liquid I treat this as a single-volume tank, but the results obtained from fluid dynamics analysis show that flow rate is proportional to the liquid level height; in other words, one specific liquid level height corresponds to one specific flow rate. Then it’s not possible to change the flow rate while keeping the liquid level constant, right? I hope the experts here can give me some advice
There are two possible uses: if you use an overflow tank, the inlet remains open, and an exhaust hole is provided on the top of the tank connected to an exhaust pipe at an operational height. When in use, first fill it with water until water starts to flow out of the exhaust pipe, indicating that the tank is fully filled. An air (electric) control valve can be installed at the outlet, along with a flow meter, to enable automatic flow regulation. It is uncertain whether the water pressure entering the tank needs to be controlled; if so, it can be regulated through pressure reduction and automatic pressure adjustment methods. Another option is to change the flow direction to bottom in and top out, which can also ensure that the water level in the tank remains at its highest. Or, a “U’-shaped tube” can be installed from the bottom to the top. If possible, it’s best to refine your message further; images make things clearer than text alone. (For reference)
