On turbine pumps for hydraulic turbines

There are currently three turbine pumps equipped with hydraulic turbines. Due to inadequate design and selection at the time of installation, the flow rate and head produced by these pumps do not match the actual requirements of production. In particular, the designed flow rate is 460 cubic meters per hour, but in practice it often drops to around 400 cubic meters per hour. When the pumps start operating, the couplings begin to smoke, making it almost impossible for them to function properly. Even if one of the pumps manages to operate, the energy recovered is not up to the design specifications. Can these three pumps be modified? Is it more economical to reconfigure a new pump instead? Could you recommend any manufacturers? The pump has a head of 201 meters, a flow rate of 460 cubic meters per hour, and a power rating of 710 Kw. Now it is intended to change this to a head of 250 meters and a flow rate of 400 cubic meters per hour
This can be adjusted; generally, the original manufacturer can do so. It can be achieved by adjusting the impeller and the partition. It is recommended to consult the original manufacturer or larger pump manufacturers in China
