Relationship between the rotation direction of the mechanical seal’s large spring and the rotation direction of the pump shaft
The spring serves as a seal for transmission; viewed from the back of the stationary ring in the direction of the moving ring, the shaft rotates clockwise, and a right-handed spring is used; Conversely, use a left-handed spring

I agree with this user’s view; the springs mentioned here refer to large springs (single springs) used for sealing, not small springs (multiple springs). Small springs are independent of the rotation direction, and since there are two rotation directions for the pump as well as various ways in which the springs can be installed, it follows that: 1. If the spring is used not only for compression but also to transmit torque, for example, to rotate the moving ring, then its rotation direction should be set so that it becomes tighter as it rotates. 2. If the spring is only compressed and is not used to transmit torque, I believe it doesn’t matter which way the spring is oriented, so this factor is not taken into consideration.
In my opinion, if the rotation direction of the pump shaft is reversed, it will cause the large spring to stretch, thereby increasing the spring force. Conversely, it will reduce the spring force.
It cannot increase thrust. . Doing the opposite will cause slippage in the transmission. . Damaged mechanical seal
