Gear pump or piston pump

Should a gear pump or a plunger pump be used for the circulating oil pump at gas stations? Which one is good?
On-site, it’s usually gear pumps; I’ve never seen piston pumps
Gear pumps have strong self-priming capability, but they generate a lot of noise. Domestically produced gear pumps generally do not have high pressure; for high-pressure applications, it is better to choose foreign-made gear pumps, as these pumps have high leakage rates and are positive-displacement pumps. Plunger pumps are generally used for high pressures, and many of them can adjust their displacement.
A plunger pump cannot be used because the outlet flow is unstable.
A twin-screw pump will do; gear pumps can also be used for this purpose
Of course, a gear pump is better; I’ve never seen a piston pump being used.
