What is the reason for the different sizes of the front and rear bearings in imperial vertical mud pumps?
Different devices have varying bearing functions for the rotor, and it is normal to use different bearings. If the supporting forces at the free end and the weighing end of the rotor are different, and the rotor must also overcome axial forces during operation, the bearings need to have a thrust-restraining function as well.
Many pumps have motors and front and rear bearings of different sizes, as the loads vary; for example, in some pumps the impeller end uses a 6309 bearing while the coupling end uses a 6307 bearing
