The inlet pressure of the plunger pump is adjustable

This post was last edited by XinYouMengHu on 2017-4-26 at 16:47. I came across a project that requires the inlet pressure of the plunger pump to be adjustable within the range of 0.5–1.5 MPa. Could anyone explain this? What is the purpose of this requirement? With such high pressure, should I install a booster pump in front of it? This must surely affect the stability of the subsequent traffic, right? Later, I learned that piston pumps come in pressure-fed versions, but I didn’t understand why they still need to be adjustable
It seems that all high-pressure piston pumps have this requirement; it is calculated based on the desired outlet pressure.
Do you mean, to meet the export pressure requirements? Wouldn’t it be better to use a pump with a higher head? Why add the pressure before the pump?
