Question: What type of pumps are most commonly used for unloading pumps? Unloading of hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, methanol, etc. – centrifugal pump? Magnetic pump or self-priming pump? What is the reason?

It depends on the actual operational requirements
In the newly built plants here, what is used are pumps + siphon tanks + unloading arms. As for the types: for hydrochloric acid, it is fiberglass centrifugal pumps; for sulfuric acid, it is IHF centrifugal pumps; and for alcohols, it is self-priming pumps
For unloading acids, it is recommended to use fluorine-lined pumps; for unloading alcohols, alkanes, and benzenes, slurry pumps or self-priming pumps should be used. The sliding vane pump has a strong self-priming capability, with a maximum vacuum level of 0.095 Mpa. It can be used as a unloading pump for unloading goods, as well as a bin cleaning pump for cleaning storage bins. It can operate dry for short periods of time, enabling the transport of gas and liquid together
If the flow rate is not high, it is recommended to use a pneumatic diaphragm pump
Do I have to manually fill the siphon tank every time it’s used?
Does clearing the tank require manually switching valves? Is the clearing effect good? Do I need to fill the self-priming tank every time it’s used?
