In the old factory, the oil reservoirs of the reciprocating compressors used No. 100 compressor oil, while all the pumps used No. 46 oil; this included the high-speed water injection pumps as well. Currently, the steam turbines in the factory use No. 46 oil, the reciprocating compressors use No. 68 oil, the high-speed water injection pumps use automatic transmission oil, and the high-pressure lean liquid pumps use white oil. Could an experienced worker please provide some explanations?
For the turbines and compressors in our equipment, we use Lubricant 46; for the centrifugal pumps, we use Shell 46； 220 gear oil for reciprocating pumps ； Transformer oil grade 25 for diaphragm metering pumps
Oh, it’s really well taken care of – we use Mobil automatic transmission oil for our pump

Reciprocating compressors require 100# or 150# air compressor oil； 220# gear oil for gearboxes ； For small pumps, use 46# fully synthetic mechanical oil; for vacuum pumps, use 40# diesel engine oil ； 32# turbine oil for turbines ； In summer, using base-grade air compressor oil in reciprocating compressors has a significant impact on the lubrication oil pressure; the low viscosity leads to a decrease in oil pressure.
