Dear all, at my company there is a vertical pump, with the pump and the motor being on the same axis. It is necessary to install a component for measuring axial force, so that the value of this force can be displayed in real time. Do any of you have relevant experience in this area, or do you know of any suitable components? I’m still in the planning stage – I’m thinking about where to install the component, what kind of component to use, as well as how to carry out the installation and wiring. Please share your thoughts
The axial force of a vertical pump is directed downward, and the axial preload of the pump should not be too large during measurement. First, calculate the magnitude of the angular axial force; then select the spring based on the total preload and the axial force. Needle bearings are used for the motor’s bearings, and the motor is started using variable frequency drive, as starting at a constant speed results in greater impact.
