I use a pneumatic diaphragm pump to draw the liquid out of the barrels; after one barrel is empty, I remove the tube to draw from another barrel. When another bucket is drawn after one has been emptied, the diaphragm pump stops working – it doesn’t move anymore. Is it because air has entered inside, causing the diaphragm pump to fail? Please share your thoughts; many thanks
Try it after you remove that extra cylindrical object. If it doesn’t work, it’s better to consult the manufacturer. Pneumatic diaphragm pumps have many problems, and of course the manufacturers downplay these issues significantly.
I. Insufficient flow rate of the pneumatic diaphragm pump 1. Leakage in the inlet and outlet valves: Repair or replace the inlet valve. 2. Diaphragm damage: Replace the diaphragm. 3. Too low rotation speed, malfunction in adjustment: Inspect the control device and adjust the rotation speed. II. Oil leakage in the pneumatic diaphragm pump: damaged or loose gaskets and seals – adjust or replace the gaskets and seals. III. Insufficient or elevated pressure in the pneumatic diaphragm pump. 1. Improper adjustment of the pressure control valve on the pneumatic diaphragm pump: Adjust the pressure valve to the desired pressure. 2. Failure of the pressure control valve: Repair the pressure control valve. 3. Pressure gauge issue: Inspect or replace the pressure gauge. IV. Drop in pressure of the pneumatic diaphragm pump 1. Insufficient oil supply from the oil filling valve: Repair the oil valve. 2. Insufficient feeding or leakage in the feed valve: Check the feeding condition and the feed valve. 3. Plunger seal oil leakage: Inspect the sealing part. 4. The oil level in the fuel tank is too low: Add new oil. 5. Pump body leakage or diaphragm damage: Check and replace the gasket or diaphragm.
Pneumatic or electric diaphragm pumps are not operating or are working very slowly: Solution: 1. Check whether there are any impurities in the filter at the air inlet or in the air filtration device. 2. Check whether the air valve is stuck, and clean it with a cleaning solution. 3. Check whether the air valve is worn; replace it with a new part if necessary. 4. Check the condition of the sealing parts of the center body; if they are severely worn, sealing will not be possible, and air will escape from the air outlet. Due to its special design, please use only GLYD rings. 5. Check whether the piston in the air valve moves properly.
