Are the inlet and outlet pipes of the pump the same size? I came across this phenomenon at work recently, and I’m very confused and puzzled. Recently we acquired an independent wash pump; nothing special about it – it has a motor and a pump body, with a head of 50 meters. Its purpose is to clean the cooler. As far as I remember, the inlet diameter seems to be reduced (probably to prevent cavitation), but we used pipes for connection, with an inlet diameter of 100 mm. Considering pressure issues, the outlet pipe had a diameter of 50 mm.
