Does anyone know how to adjust the thrust of this pump?
There is a platform on the thrust bearing cover; there is a fixed clearance between this platform and the radial bearings. We adjust this clearance by modifying the copper shims on the three screws on the cover
Our seal does not have a bushing; the moving ring is directly locked to the shaft. When disassembling, use a depth gauge to measure the position of the moving ring seat, and reinstall it in the same position as before to maintain the same compression force
This pump is a liquid ring vacuum pump! For tandem two-stage compression, the axial force goes toward the motor side! At the rear end of the pump, there are two sets of back-to-back angular contact bearings or deep groove ball bearings to balance the axial forces! The axial play can be adjusted by adding or removing shims on the outer ring of the bearing in that bearing housing! ! !
