The mechanical seal always breaks in the middle of the rubber sleeve. Is there any good solution? I’m asking for help from everyone.
Mechanical seals with other structures can be used. This situation can be avoided in friction pairs where power is transmitted via shift forks
Generally, this area is made of cushioning rubber, so it is not easy to break. It should be considered whether the medium is corrosive to rubber.
This post was last edited by Mechanical seal_CFVR on 2021-8-11 at 14:07. It is recommended to use a design with a fork, like the one shown in the third post, and also consider whether the rubber properties meet the requirements of the medium being handled.
If the sealing pressure does not exceed 20 BAR, a bellows mechanical seal can be considered.
